At the request of governments around the world, BCFS has established health and human service programs that care for abused and neglected children, unite new or struggling families, and help those in need.
BCFS has been a leading foster care and adoption agency for nearly 70 years. Today, BCFS operates programs for families both stateside and overseas that offer guidance, training and counseling to parents on how to raise healthy children, encourage developmental growth, help families communicate and mitigate conflict, and value academic achievement.
Overseas, BCFS’ global division (Children's Emergency Relief International) works to establish safe and loving foster and adoptive homes for children who are orphans. To ensure families can adequately support another child in their homes, CERI offers microenterprise loans, education and employment opportunities, medical and healthcare services, financial aid, as well as counseling and trainings.
